Mr Dookeran and the People's Partnership should maintain their position on the Clico payment issue.Several months ago they were being advised by a former politician to institute legal proceedings against the Goverment to recover the money they lost under the Manning administration. The People's Partnership government extended an opportunity to these investors which was more than adequate, and they were underserving of this act of goodwill.
While I understand their plight, I do not understand their logic. These investors have misplaced their anger and it appears that they are being manipulated by those who may have a political agenda. It would be interesting to find out who are the individuals behind the scene who are "stirring the pot" in an attempt to stoke political mischief. The government has acted honourably in this situation, and Mr Dookeran has no reason to bend to the bitterness and false assumptions of this effort to embarrass him.
