Den­im, di­a­monds and a whole lot of danc­ing took over Club VICE last Sat­ur­day night as WAND (Women in Ac­tion for the Needy and Des­ti­tute) host­ed its an­nu­al Den­im & Di­a­monds fundrais­ing par­ty, at­tract­ing more than 500 guests for a night of mu­sic, cock­tails, sparkle and se­ri­ous fun.

The dress code was den­im with a lit­tle—or a lot—of di­a­mond at­ti­tude, and guests def­i­nite­ly un­der­stood the as­sign­ment. From sub­tle sparkle to full-on glitz, the crowd brought the glam­our, with plen­ty of fa­mil­iar faces from Trinidad’s so­cial, busi­ness and pro­fes­sion­al cir­cles join­ing the par­ty.

And this year, the guys were of­fi­cial­ly in­vit­ed to the di­a­mond par­ty too.

Keep­ing the dance­floor mov­ing through­out the night was an im­pres­sive DJ line-up fea­tur­ing DJ KY­DD, DJ Mar­cus Williams, CIN and Ish­mail the De­mo­li­tion Man, with MC DJ Dani keep­ing the en­er­gy high.

The re­sult? A packed dance­floor and very few peo­ple in a hur­ry to leave, with glass­es filled with com­pli­men­ta­ry Grey Goose and Jack Daniel’s wel­come drinks.

Now firm­ly es­tab­lished as a par­ty not to miss, Den­im & Di­a­monds con­tin­ues to prove that giv­ing back does not have to be se­ri­ous busi­ness.

But be­neath all the fun is a se­ri­ous pur­pose. Pro­ceeds from WAND’s fundrais­ing events sup­port sus­tain­able ini­tia­tives that make a tan­gi­ble dif­fer­ence in the lives of peo­ple across Trinidad and To­ba­go.

Among its re­cent ini­tia­tives is Gift of Sight, through which WAND has helped make much-need­ed eye surg­eries pos­si­ble for in­di­vid­u­als who oth­er­wise could not af­ford them.

With Den­im & Di­a­monds of­fi­cial­ly in the books, WAND is not quite done for the year. The foun­da­tion will close out its 2026 fundrais­ing cal­en­dar with its much-an­tic­i­pat­ed Christ­mas Lun­cheon on No­vem­ber 13 at the Hy­att Re­gency Trinidad.

For WAND, the for­mu­la re­mains sim­ple: bring peo­ple to­geth­er, have a great time and make a dif­fer­ence while do­ing it.
