On July 20, the stage at the Southern Academy for the Performing Arts (SAPA) came alive with vibrant colour, rhythm, and artistry as Brian Mangaroo’s Khalnayak Academy of Dance took centre stage in a spectacular live concert.

Established in 2012, Khalnayak Academy has earned a reputation as one of T&T’s most dynamic and distinguished dance ensembles. Widely regarded as one of the best in the country, the group has consistently raised the bar for Indo-Caribbean performing arts. At the helm is cultural ambassador Brian Mangaroo, a celebrated choreographer and multiple-time winner of national dance competitions. Under his visionary leadership, the academy has become a symbol of artistic excellence, captivating audiences both locally and internationally.

With their signature blend of precision, creativity, and cultural authenticity, Khalnayak Academy has graced stages across T&T and around the world. They have proudly represented the nation at international festivals, cultural exchanges, and major national events, always delivering performances that push the boundaries of choreography while honouring tradition.

What truly sets the group apart is their unwavering commitment to preserving and promoting T&T’s rich Indo-Caribbean heritage. Through breathtaking performances and innovative storytelling, they have become cultural ambassadors, inspiring a new generation of performers and leaving a lasting mark on the national arts landscape.

Whether presenting classical, folk, or modern fusion pieces, Khalnayak Academy of Dance continues to redefine excellence in the performing arts—one spellbinding performance at a time.
