ANSA McAL Limited served as the official sponsor of the Women in Leadership (WIL) 2025 Networking and Cocktail Reception, hosted by the University of the West Indies – Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business (UWI-ALJGSB).
The sponsorship underscores the Group’s ongoing commitment to inclusive leadership and aligns with a core pillar of ANSA McAL’s People Strategy: creating equitable pathways to leadership for all.
Held under the theme “People, Culture and Performance: Strategies for Women in Power,” the 19th edition of the WIL Conference spanned two impactful days. It explored how women are redefining leadership models grounded in empathy, collaboration, and sustainable performance.
The hybrid-format event opened on July 8 with an evening of “Conversations and Cocktails” at the UWI-ALJGSB Mt Hope Campus. The reception provided a space for meaningful connection, where attendees engaged in candid conversations and heard inspiring stories from speakers whose journeys embodied resilience and purpose. A full-day virtual conference followed on July 9, offering attendees practical tools, empowering narratives, and opportunities for cross-industry learning.
The event drew professionals and thought leaders from across the region, including President Christine Carla Kangaloo and Jearlean John, Minister of Works and Infrastructure—both in attendance in support of the mission to empower women in leadership.
Speaking at the reception, Amy Lazzari, Chief People and Culture Officer at ANSA McAL Limited, said: “This partnership with UWI-ALJGSB aligns with our People Strategy, which focuses on building a culture where leadership potential is recognised and nurtured at every level.
“Supporting this networking reception was not just the right thing to do—it represents a strategic investment in our people, our performance, and the culture we aim to foster.”
The initiative forms part of ANSA McAL’s broader culture strategy, which prioritises equal opportunity, the promotion of diverse perspectives, and embedding inclusive leadership in decision-making spaces.
Participants left the conference inspired and re-energised, equipped with new insights and actionable strategies. Central to the two-day event was a shared belief: when women lead with empathy, vision, and courage, they not only deliver results—they help transform workplace culture.
