CG United Insurance has successfully concluded its 2025 group-wide summer internship programme, which spanned six jurisdictions: Bermuda, Cayman, The Bahamas, Barbados, T&T and Jamaica.
In T&T, this year’s cohort included Samuel Blache, Chelsea Gregoire, Chloe Sinanan, and Aaliyah Webb, who spent eight weeks immersed in a dynamic, hands-on professional experience designed to reflect the fast-paced environment of CG United.
The programme underscores CG United’s commitment to developing young talent and investing in the communities it serves. Interns rotated through multiple departments, worked under the guidance of experienced mentors, attended leadership-led educational sessions, and participated in impactful community service initiatives.
A highlight of the internship is the group-wide intern project, which brings together interns from all participating territories to tackle a complex, real-world challenge. Operating as a fully independent, self-managed team, interns research, develop, and present their recommendations to CG’s executive leadership—gaining valuable experience in cross-border collaboration, critical thinking, and professional presentation.
Each year, the project addresses a current issue affecting the insurance industry. Previous cohorts have explored topics such as attracting and retaining the next generation of decision-makers, leveraging AI to enhance customer experience and profitability, and developing flexible insurance products. This summer, interns examined insurance fraud, focusing on detection, prevention, and client education to deliver regionally relevant strategies.
Naz Farrow, chief executive officer of Coralisle Group Ltd., emphasised the programme’s impact.
He said, “Our internship programme isn’t about shadowing—it’s about showing up and making an impact. The Group-Wide Intern Project brings that to life, empowering our interns to lead, collaborate across borders, and develop ideas that reflect the future of our industry. This programme spans multiple markets but operates with a single purpose: to support and learn from the next generation of leaders across our entire group.”
