In Lov­ing Mem­o­ry of Ernes­ta E. Greenidge. Ernes­ta E. Greenidge, née Bryce, beloved wife of the late Patrick E.H. Greenidge, and for­mer Deputy Li­brar­i­an and Head of the Med­ical Sci­ences Li­brary at The UWI St. Au­gus­tine, passed away peace­ful­ly on the morn­ing of Feb­ru­ary 27, 2024, at her fam­i­ly home at Bryce Ter­race, St Au­gus­tine, Trinidad and To­ba­go. Born in Port-of-Spain on Oc­to­ber 28, 1951, Ernes­ta was the cher­ished daugh­ter of Mary Louise Bryce (née Phillip) and Ger­ald F. Bryce. Ernes­ta was a de­vot­ed moth­er to Dr. Chan­zo O. Greenidge, moth­er-in-law of Vanes­sa R. Chaper­lin, and a lov­ing grand­moth­er to Ana Marie Greenidge Mé­nard, Aca­cia L. Greenidge, and Maya R. Greenidge. Ernes­ta was al­so a lov­ing sis­ter to Ger­ald Bryce, Ju­dith Bryce-White, and Miri­am Bryce. She is pre­ced­ed in death by her dear broth­ers Beres­ford and David Bryce. She was the sis­ter-in-law of Theodore Cathy Bryce. She was a rel­a­tive of the Bo­ca, Har­ris, Li, Roberts fam­i­lies of Trinidad, Brice, By­noe and Hold­er fam­i­lies of Bar­ba­dos, and the Phillip and Collins fam­i­lies of Grena­da. She was Aunt of Kim, Kelvin, Masi­ka, Moishe, Mu­nashe, Pa­te­ri­na, Rochelle, Tame­ka, and many oth­ers. She was Great Aunt of Aanisah, Aidan, Al­li­na, Amaya, An­nali, Bri­an­na, Christo­pher Jr., Lo­la, Theo, Zain, Zo­ria, and many oth­ers. She was the god­moth­er of Tahi­rah A.C. Ward, and a faith­ful friend of Lin­da Clau­dia De­Four, Martha Pred­die, Karen Kub­o­ta and many oth­ers. She was al­so a men­tor to many in the pro­fes­sion of li­brar­i­an­ship and in­for­ma­tion sci­ence. Fu­ner­al ser­vices will be held at Our La­dy of Fa­ti­ma R.C. Church, Bushe Street, Curepe at 1:30pm on March 8th 2024, then to Tu­na­puna Ceme­tery for in­tern­ment.
