What began as a three-year-old’s innocent curiosity has grown into a space dedicated to affirming children through joyful, intentional experiences.
More than ten years ago, while planning spa sessions for adult couples, Dr Shamile S Bernard—a mother of two—was asked by her daughter, Majestic Bernard, “Mom, why don’t you give children the same experience you give the adults?” That simple question would eventually lead to the creation of a spa experience designed with children in mind.
Dr Bernard, a transformational speaker and entrepreneur, took her daughter’s words to heart. Today, Majestic is 13, a homeschooler, published author, competitive gymnast, and the owner of her own accessory line. She also plays a creative role in shaping the experiences offered at the spa.
“Children don’t become what you tell them; they duplicate what they’re exposed to,” Dr Bernard explained.
Majestic's idea blossomed into a space where children feel celebrated and valued. Parties, bonding experiences, and milestone recognitions are held in themed rooms that balance fun with intention. In one, giggles fill the air during a cupcake facial session. In another, a mother and daughter share quiet time and mini massages. Elsewhere, gentle affirmations and sparkling lemonade accompany a child’s first moment of truly seeing herself in the mirror.
A key element of the experience is the absence of digital devices, creating a rare environment centred on presence and connection. It offers more than relaxation. It seeks to build confidence, strengthen bonds, and create lasting memories—reminding families of the value of intentional time together.
