Soca sensation Machel Montano officially launched his much-anticipated album, Encore, on February 6, delighting fans with not only the music but also behind-the-scenes insights into the creative process.
Alongside the album release, Montano unveiled the full playlist, giving listeners a first look at the collaborations and tracks that will define Trinidad and Tobago’s Carnival 2026.
The launch offered fans a unique opportunity to hear directly from Montano and the featured artistes about the inspirations behind the songs and the collaborative experiences that shaped the album.
“Encore represents a celebration of music, creativity, and the energy of Carnival,” Montano said during the launch.
“Each track tells a story, and working with these artists has been an incredible journey.”
One of the album’s standout tracks, Pull De Pin, features Skinny Fabulous and Wusswayz, blending high-energy rhythms with infectious hooks guaranteed to set stages on fire. Meanwhile, the title track, Encore, is already being positioned as Montano’s contender for the coveted Road March trophy at T&T Carnival 2026.
Other notable collaborations include Dancing in the Streets with Mela Caribe and DJ Private Ryan, and Elevate featuring Nailah Blackman, DJ Private Ryan, and BadJohn Republic. The album also features a mix of veteran and emerging talents, such as Super Blue on Carnival Birthday and rising artistes like Travis World, Thunda, and Lil Natty.
