The Cor­pus Christi Carmelites are sad to in­form you that SR MARY IM­MAC­U­LA­TA TO­BAS, O. CARM born on 22nd De­cem­ber 1927, a high­ly re­spect­ed teacher and school prin­ci­pal whose guid­ance and ex­am­ple pos­i­tive­ly in­flu­enced thou­sands of girls, died on 26th June 2026. She was the daugh­ter of Fe­li­cia Ma­habir and Theophilus To­bas. She was the sis­ter of Una Mar­cano (de­ceased), Den­nis Gar­cia (de­ceased), Martha Gar­cia and Rosa Ro­driguez. Sis­ter-in-law of Leono­ra (de­ceased). De­vot­ed aunt of An­na-Maria, Ger­ard, Joan, Fin­bar Den­nis, Den­sie, Harold, Michael (de­ceased), Trevor, Mar­i­lyn, Mau­reen, Dave (de­ceased), Grece, Gail and oth­ers; Great Aunt of Nigel, and twen­ty-three oth­ers. Cel­e­bra­tion of her life takes place on Fri­day 3rd Ju­ly 2026, at 10 a.m. at the Abbey Church, Our La­dy of Ex­ile, Mt St Bene­dict Tu­na­puna. We thank God for her in­spi­ra­tional life.
