The Garden Club hosts tea and garden party at Mille Fleurs

The Gar­den Club of Trinidad re­cent­ly host­ed a fundrais­ing tea and gar­den par­ty at Mille Fleurs, one of the Mag­nif­i­cent Sev­en and home to The Na­tion­al Trust of Trinidad and To­ba­go.

The Gar­den Club has of­fered to re-es­tab­lish the gar­den at this state­ly pe­ri­od home and all pro­ceeds of the tea par­ty will be used to­wards this project. Land­scap­ing has al­ready be­gun and com­ple­tion is ex­pect­ed by year’s end.

Three hun­dred guests at­tend­ed this event with many ladies el­e­gant­ly dressed com­plete­ly with styl­ish hats.

While tea was be­ing served guests were ser­e­nad­ed by clas­si­cal gui­tar mu­sic, ex­pert­ly per­formed by Ste­fan Roach.

The Gar­den Club al­so pre­sent­ed a $10,000 cheque to Mr Bernard Beck­les, lead de­sign­er and Mr Tony Tang Kai, co-or­di­na­tor who are part of the group of hor­ti­cul­tur­al ex­perts who will rep­re­sent T&T at The Roy­al Hor­ti­cul­tur­al So­ci­ety Chelsea Flower Show in Lon­don, Eng­land.
