The Lost Tribe’s Fete Yard, staged this Carnival season in the Queen’s Park Savannah, Port-of-Spain, as part of the city’s pre-Carnival festivities, was once again a focal point for soca lovers and mas enthusiasts alike.
Positioned within the iconic Savannah grounds—a historic epicentre for Trinidad and Tobago’s Carnival culture—the event drew a mixed crowd of locals and visitors into a lively, themed celebration that blurred the lines between traditional Carnival character homage and contemporary party culture.
This year’s iteration, dubbed the Legends Ball, encouraged patrons to embody icons from soca, calypso and chutney history, complete with flamboyant costumes, runway vibes and a red-carpet feel that leaned into both nostalgia and creative expression.
