NEL gains $0.49, ends at $15.50

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 11 securities of which seven advanced, two declined and two traded firm. National Flour Mills was the volume leader with 36,297 shares changing hands for a value of $24,681.96, followed by Neal & Massy Holdings with a volume of 34,070 shares being traded for $1,638,679.72. Sagicor Financial Corporation contributed 25,000 shares with a value of $187,500.00, while Jamaica Money Market Brokers added 10,000 shares valued at $6,500.00. National Enterprises Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain,increasing $0.49 to end the day at $15.50. Also getting a boost yesterday were Republic Bank Ltd, which increased by $0.30 to close trading at $105.81 and West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd, which added $0.26 to end at $74.59. Conversely, Scotiabank T&T suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.36 to close at $63.50.
