Ke­ston Nan­coo is the new chair­man of the Em­ploy­ers Con­sul­ta­tive As­so­ci­a­tion (ECA) for the 2011-2013.

Nan­coo, the vice-pres­i­dent of hu­man re­sources at Guardian Hold­ings Ltd, has more than 30 years of ex­pe­ri­ence in the man­u­fac­tur­ing sec­tor, re­gion­al­ly and in­ter­na­tion­al­ly, and in hu­man re­sources, es­pe­cial­ly in ar­eas of em­ploy­ee re­la­tions, in­dus­tri­al re­la­tions, mar­ket­ing and com­mu­ni­ca­tions.

Nan­coo has served for ten years as branch sec­re­tary at the Na­tion­al Union of Gov­ern­ment and Fed­er­at­ed Work­ers, and has been a mem­ber of the ECA board for more than four years. He suc­ceeds Ruben Mc­Sween, who head­ed the ECA for the last two years. Suzette Ali, gen­er­al man­ag­er at Coates Broth­ers (Caribbean) Ltd, has been ap­point­ed vice-chair­man of the ECA. Lin­da Besson re­mains as ex­ec­u­tive di­rec­tor.
