Woodford Cafe celebrates four years at its Fiesta Plaza, Movietowne, Audrey Jeffers Highway, location. Proprietor Benny Hatem says the success of the restaurant is the result of its consistency in service. He said to attain and maintain the level of service excellence for which the eatery had become known, its management placed a priority on the retraining of staff. Hatem said it was for this reason that he now referred to customers as "loyal guests."
Last Friday, executives at Woodford Cafe hosted to scores of specially invited guests who turned out for its anniversary party. The restaurant owner explained that Woodford Cafe had also made a commitment to support local culture with its long-running Unplugged Tuesdays concert series and promoted quality family time with children- under 12-eat free Sundays when adults purchase an entree and dine in. "Woodford Cafe is born and bred in T&T. The family ambiance has become a signature of our operations. We give loyal guests a feeling of home away from home.
"Despite the economic slowdown, we have been fortunate. We have held our own. Our store in Chaguanas is doing well. We like to incorporate live entertainment at our branches and we have a really fantastic happy hour. In the last six months, new burgers have been added to our international menu as well as pasta, salads and seafood items, in addition to the local fare."
