A main pil­lar of the En­er­gy Cham­ber's strate­gic man­date is to help en­er­gy ser­vice com­pa­nies ex­port their ex­per­tise to for­eign mar­kets. Our en­er­gy ser­vice ex­porter awards recog­nise the lo­cal ex­porters who have ex­celled in­ter­na­tion­al­ly in ser­vices and/or in the sale of en­er­gy sec­tor equip­ment man­u­fac­tured in T&T; and those that have made their ini­tial en­try over the past two years in­to an ex­port mar­ket and achieved no­table suc­cess. At the En­er­gy Cham­ber's CSR Lead­er­ship Awards this year, CSR cham­pi­ons were re­ward­ed in five CSR-re­lat­ed cat­e­gories and two new awards were in­tro­duced for en­er­gy ser­vice ex­porters.

1. The En­er­gy Cham­ber Ex­porter of the Year Award

IAL En­gi­neer­ing Ser­vices Ltd, (win­ner)

Over the last three years, IAL En­gi­neer­ing Ser­vices Ltd has been able to over­come mar­ket bar­ri­ers and have start­ed ex­port­ing pre­mi­um crossovers to over 32 coun­tries world­wide. It has al­so ex­port­ed TCP car­ri­ers to Venezuela to Tuck­er En­er­gy and Ex­plo­sivosTech­no­logi­cosVene­zolanos. The com­pa­ny is aim­ing to bring its ex­port rev­enues to 50 per cent of its to­tal rev­enues. IAL re­cent­ly com­plet­ed a new man­u­fac­tur­ing fa­cil­i­ty at its Guapo lo­ca­tion to house its TCP car­ri­er man­u­fac­tur­ing for ex­ports and to give the com­pa­ny the need­ed space at San Fer­nan­do to ex­pand. The com­pa­ny al­so has three new CNC lath­es on or­der to be de­liv­ered by the first quar­ter of 2012. In terms of the com­pa­ny's ex­port per­for­mance, its an­nu­al ex­port sales for 2010 amounts to $23,632,000 and in­creased in 2011 to $27,686,000.

Ex­port sales ac­count for 18 per cent of its to­tal rev­enue in 2010 and 17 per cent in 2011. Ad­di­tion­al­ly, in­creased cap­i­tal in­vest­ment in plant and equip­ment, an ag­gres­sive mar­ket­ing thrust and a time­ly de­liv­ery sys­tem are all mea­sures im­ple­ment­ed by IAL En­gi­neer­ing Ser­vices Ltd to sus­tain ex­ports. IAL En­gi­neer­ing Ser­vices Ltd trav­els across the globe to the var­i­ous geo mar­kets, mar­ket­ing their ca­pa­bil­i­ties and has es­tab­lished an of­fice in Hous­ton. The com­pa­ny has al­so es­tab­lished re­la­tion­ships with a Venezue­lan com­pa­ny to sup­ply TCP car­ri­ers

2. New En­er­gy Ser­vice Ex­porter of the Year: Tuck­er En­er­gy Ser­vices Ltd

Tuck­er En­er­gy Ser­vices Ltd is a mul­ti-ser­vice provider to the up­stream en­er­gy sec­tor for more than 75 years.

Over the past few years, the com­pa­ny has suc­cess­ful­ly pro­vid­ed the re­gion with:

a. Well in­ter­ven­tion ser­vices (off­shore Venezuela)

b. Ce­ment­ing, com­ple­tions, di­rec­tion­al drilling and tools (Suri­name)

i. The prod­ucts ex­port­ed to Suri­name have been ce­ment­ing chem­i­cals, float and cen­tralis­ers equip­ment.

ii. The ser­vices ex­port­ed to Suri­name have been the de­sign, en­gi­neer­ing, lab­o­ra­to­ry ser­vices for per­form­ing all well ser­vices. In the com­ple­tion of the well, TES pro­vides fil­tra­tion ser­vices, per­fo­ra­tion wash­ing tool ser­vices, grav­el pack­ing ser­vices and mis­cel­la­neous pump­ing ser­vices.

iii. EquipmeDrilling jars, ac­cel­er­a­tors and rhi­no ream­ers to Suri­name, Guyana and French Guyana.

Tuck­er En­er­gy Ser­vices Ltd has been able to in­crease pro­duc­tion in the Ped­er­nales field for Petrowarao, PDVSA by 30 per cent and trans­ferred peo­ple, process and equip­ment in­to a new start up in a for­eign coun­try.

The com­pa­ny suc­cess­ful­ly ce­ment­ed and com­plet­ed oil wells ex­port­ing tech­nol­o­gy and ser­vices that have re­sult­ed in the ef­fi­cient and pro­duc­tion of oil wells.
