A local software company has created an application that can be used to successfully improve and speed up business processes.
Teleios Systems will on October 17 launch its QuikWorx application at a function at the T&T Chamber of Commerce Building, Westmoorings, at 8 am.
A statement from Teleios described QuikWorx™ as an innovative new software product that automates business processes and workflows. "Unlike other costly, technical options, QuikWorx is intuitive and easy to use, designed to allow the business user to focus on the process that's being automated and not have to worry about the complexity of the technology.
Further, Teleios said QuikWorx makes automation simple because as an automated process, it would positively impact the company's bottom line.
"All businesses have processes that dictate or facilitate their day-to-day operations. However, whether those processes are formal or informal, they exist and people work with them all the time. For example, an employee applying for vacation or a bank customer applying for a loan are both processes. In many businesses, these processes are manual or paper based, which leaves open the possibility for errors and introduces inefficiencies and bottlenecks.
"In today's technological world it is understood that businesses are more effective, efficient and productive when their processes are automated.
"And that's what QuikWorx is all about," said Kevin Khelawan, chief operating officer at Teleios Systems.
"But automating business processes can be challenging for many reasons. One such reason is that actually automating business processes requires specialised, technical skills that are typically in short supply and, as a result, costly in terms of time and money," Khelawan said in the statement.
The company said, in many instances, information technology departments or external consultants would be required to sit with business users to understand the process.
The IT experts would then design and implement the process, usually by programming and complex software customisations-and in the end-it may not turn out exactly as the business user expected or needed.
QuikWorx aims at reducing such instances.
"There is an acute need for a product which business users can use on their own, to design, test and implement automated business processes and workflows, without the need to wait for software and IT experts and this is where QuikWorx comes in," said Teleios' chief executive officer Ronald Hinds in the statement.
"Once enabled with QuikWorx, a business user can design the process, test it, change it and then with the click of the mouse publish it for widespread company use, all without the need for expensive and scarce IT resources," Hinds said.
