Please allow me space in your newspapers to share of some excellent customer service I experienced in Trinidad at Rituals West Mall.
I took my family to the mall to enjoy the ambiance and Christmas feeling this time of year brings. My children wanted to have their favourite chillers from Rituals and took them in.
As we walked in and was looking at the menu board, we were greeted by a friendly and pleasant young man behind the counter. This was a big surprise to both myself and my wife as this is not normal to receive anywhere in Trinidad. We stood in line and placed our order and stood to the side to collect.
The young man informed my family if we wished, we could have a seat and offered reading material as we wait and when the order is ready, will bring it for us (wow!).
A few minutes after, he brought the order for us, including napkins and straws (more wow!). My wife was getting up to get additional napkins (as our children can be messy) and he said no need to and will bring it for her (bigger wow!).
While our kids was enjoying their drinks, the young man came out to clean tables and asked our children about their delicious chillers and if it was double thumbs up (wow). They both showed him big smiles and two thumbs up. When we were leaving, he acknowledged us again and thanked my family for coming and wished us a wonderful day (wow!).
Up until this point, we did not know the name of this amazing young man as we don't usually read the name tags as nothing draws us to it. We went to him to thank him for his commitment to his job and for delivering above and beyond service, especially for a coffee shop. His name is Imran, who will easily stand out literally "one in a million."
What was just a stop through Rituals to pick up specialty drinks turned out to me and my family in us experiencing excellent customer service that I rate five-star service. It is so great to see that FINALLY in Trinidad there is someone in the customer service industry who takes their work seriously and shows genuine passion not only to me, but my entire family.
Thank you, Imran, and will be sure to visit you again soon.
