The $40 mil­lion project com­menced on Ju­ly 13, 2011. It was deliev­ered on time–18 months–and with­in bud­get. On­ly lo­cal con­trac­tors were hired.

Lo­cal project man­ag­er, KS&P Ltd, which of­fers con­sult­ing civ­il and struc­tur­al en­gi­neer­ing ser­vices re­quired in the con­struc­tion in­dus­try, was es­tab­lished in 1978,

The New In­dia As­sur­ance head­quar­ters is a four-storey of­fice build­ing com­pris­ing three floors above road lev­el and base­ment car park­ing.

The peach-coloured build­ing stands tall at 6A Vic­to­ria Av­enue, Port-of-Spain.
