As most readers of the Guardian would know, the newspaper's associate editor, business Sandra Chouthi passed away on Monday after a long battle with cancer.
Sandra was an integral part of the success of the Business Guardian, as she contributed to the production and editing of the publication and by her reporting.
She will be remembered by her Guardian colleagues as a gifted journalist and an engaging and creative editor.
She was blessed with the ability to work quickly, and sometimes there was astonishment at her ability to complete the writing or editing of a story, in half the time that others would take.
She was so quick that sometimes she got frustrated at the inability of some of her colleagues to work at her pace.
I suspect that I was the source of frequent frustration for her.
Sandra was also a dedicated professional who worked long hours putting the Business Guardian to bed on Tuesday nights...or Wednesday mornings.
Like most of us at the Guardian, I suspect that Sandra had a love/hate relationship with the newspaper.
But for Sandra, it was always more love, which she radiated in her many acts of kindness to her colleagues.
She will be missed for her generosity of spirit, her quality journalism and her professionalism.
