Creating business champions
Hers is a story of sheer grit and determination and a quest that ultimately led to success. These days Camilita Nuttall is regarded as a rock star among motivational speakers delivering electrifying presentations to large crowds at worldwide events.
That celebrity status did not come easily for Trinidad-born Nuttall who had to overcome extreme adversity and rose against all odds to become the dynamic powerhouse of victory and inspiration that she is today.
Her story alone is motivating but it is her straight-forward advice and ability to repeatedly gather the top minds in industry to impart real-world knowledge that is uplifting.
Nuttall is bringing that dynamism to the country of her birth and has teamed up with Shane Ram, CEO of STEP HR Consulting, founder of Scientific Happiness and Don’t Settle for 7- Go For 10, also a global keynote speaker.
This dynamic duo will be feature presenters at the Event of Champions, aimed at helping T&T entrepreneurs grow their business internationally on May 4 at the Hyatt Regency in Port-of-Spain.
As founder of Event of Champions, Nuttall brings together the best in the industry to deliver valuable and quality content that promotes success. Attendees leave armed with tools to immediately increase their wealth, gain prestigious recognition and grow their new found network of the best entrepreneurial minds in the world.
For Nuttall, the road to success has not always been smooth. It was one initially filled with trials and tribulations.
She was the youngest of 11 children and her parents didn’t have enough money for her to even start secondary school, so she went with her mother to the Beetham dump to dig through the large mounds of waste and rubbish, looking for empty bottles to sell.
Determined to escape a life of poverty, Nuttall studied night and day, enrolled in law school and eventually migrated to the United Kingdom where her career soared.
She has launched two successful network marketing businesses, built a property portfolio and embarked on a career in public speaking.
She is the author of How to Fast Track Your Success, Camilita’s Quotes, Inspirational Messages and Success Secrets to Live Like a Champion and How to Use Events, Keynote Speaking and Social Media to Increase Your PR & Profits.
Her passion for delivering practical information that can be immediately implemented makes her extremely sought after for international speaking engagements. Nuttall easily tailors her talk to suit the needs of anyone to ensure the best possible results for a business or organisation.
Companies and industries from Fortune 500s, direct selling organisations, universities, property investment seminars, business groups, religious groups and many more have been inspired and enthused by Nuttall’s dynamic message and delivery.
She is a corporate sales trainer for large- and medium-sized companies and was a top sales expert for seven consecutive years in Europe where she engineered a major sales force of thousands more than 30 countries, amassing an excess of US$20 million in sales.
She has lived in Spain, Germany, Netherlands and the UK and has travelled to more than 50 countries.
Nuttall now rubs shoulders with some of the biggest names in international business. She is mentioned in the New York Times bestseller Think & Grow Rich for Women.
Dr J B Hill, grandson of Napoleon Hill, hailed Nuttall’s success to an audience of about 20,000 noting: “There is no better time than the present to take action to succeed.”
In speaking about the motivating factor behind the upcoming event Nuttall explained: “It is my own personal story from Biche, living on the Beetham and hustling on the public dump, to moving to the UK, becoming a top European sales expert, travelling to over 50 countries, and now running two global businesses.
“If I can do it, anyone can do it.”
Along with her husband Andrew, she runs the Nuttall Foundation which provides personal development training to underprivileged children, partnering with like-minded individuals.
Ram is also a force to be reckoned with. He has experienced his share of challenges.
His childhood was marked by poverty, domestic violence and family illiteracy. At five he almost died of starvation. Ram remembers living in a house with electricity or running water and having to study for his 11-plus exam with light from a kerosene lamp.
He had no real mentor or guide to pull him through a tough early childhood and this forced him to develop his own principles of success. He went on to defy the odds and became a published author.
Ram holds master’s degree in strategic thinking and ebusiness. He works with CEOs, corporations and entrepreneurs to increase revenue, grow their businesses and live more fulfilling lives.
At 31, Ram became a c-suite executive and has helped organisations with employees from 70 different countries to manage through disruptive change and rapid growth.
Due to his extensive experience, Ram was able to set up STEP HR Consulting which quickly launched in five countries, providing training in leadership, emotional intelligence, communication, change management, coaching and human resource management.
In 2013, Ram launched a business in sales and built a sales team of more 4,000 distributors in 17 countries doing over US$2 million in sales and helping entrepreneurs to launch businesses.
From his years of experience, he found that most people were “playing” at a level way below their potential and were settling for less than they deserved. That was how the Don’t Settle for 7, Go for 10 was created, providing a blueprint for leaders and entrepreneurs to increase wealth, and build global businesses, create confidence and reach their highest potential personally and financially.
Ram has travelled extensively and has shared the same stage with Sharon Lechter, Bob Burg and Malcolm Gladwell.
The father of two has also has trained and consulted in the UK, Africa, USA, Canada, India, Central America, South Pacific and most Caribbean countries.
“There is a world out there ready for your brand, product or service, the only thing that is missing is your belief, determination, bold-faced tenacity and work ethic to get it done. Simple,” he said.
