Angostura leads Ash Wednesday trading

Overall market activity resulted from trading in seven securities of which one advanced, none declined and six traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 33,461 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $449,850. 

Angostura Holdings Ltd was the volume leader with 23,774 shares changing hands for a value of $118,870, followed by Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago Ltd with a volume of 4,409 shares being traded for $176,360.00.

National Flour Mills contributed 2,000 shares with a value of $1,800.00, while The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd added 1,500 shares valued at $75,015.00. The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd  enjoyed the day’s sole price increase, climbing $0.01 to end the day at $50.01. The mutual fund & second tier markets did not record any activity.
