The Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society is a non-profit humanitarian organisation that focuses their resources on providing communities with disaster preparedness and quality health programmes designed to empower the most vulnerable in our society.The Trinidad and Tobago Red Cross Society was founded on July 12, 1939 as a Branch of the British Red Cross and became independent of the British Red Cross on May 31, 1963.There are three branches situated in Port-of-Spain, San Fernando and Scarborough, Tobago.The Red Cross conducts programmes in Youth, First Aid, HIV and Aids and Disaster Preparedness in communities throughout the country.
