Overall market activity resulted from trading in 12 securities of which three advanced, none declined and nine traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 124,667 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $1,597,559.71. Angostura Holdings Ltd was the volume leader with 79,550 shares changing hands for a value of $397,750.00, followed by Agostini’s Ltd with a volume of 24,200 shares being traded for $268,570.00. Neal& Massy Holdings contributed 5,641 shares with a value of $231,543.82, while Republic Bank Ltd added 5,119 shares valued at $417,154.79.
The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.72 to end the day at $51.00. The mutual fund market did not record any activity. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.11. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.20. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $62.51. The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company Ltd remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $15.52.
