Up­grad­ed Train­ing Ser­vices

Since en­ter­ing the mar­ket for Safe­ty, Health, En­vi­ron­men­tal and Qual­i­ty (SHEQ) man­age­ment ser­vices in 2001, SRG has rev­o­lu­tionised the de­liv­ery of Safe­ty train­ing in Trinidad and To­ba­go. Prompt­ed by the need for train­ing pro­grammes that ad­dressed the Caribbean's unique SHEQ man­age­ment is­sues, SRG be­gan to de­liv­er train­ing in ef­fec­tive In­ci­dent and ac­ci­dent In­ves­ti­ga­tion and has be­come a pi­o­neer in its own right by de­vel­op­ing a num­ber of short cours­es that con­front­ed the un­treat­ed SHEQ man­age­ment is­sues that plagued the in­dus­try. These pro­grammes were the first of their kind in Trinidad and To­ba­go and in­clude; H.S.E Lead­er­ship for Man­agers and Prac­ti­cal Risk As­sess­ment.

SRG has al­so suc­cess­ful­ly ex­pand­ed its port­fo­lio of ser­vices to in­clude Cer­tifi­cate cours­es in Safe­ty, a Diplo­ma in Safe­ty and Health as well as a De­gree in Safe­ty. The Diplo­ma and the De­gree in Safe­ty are the first lo­cal­ly de­vel­oped pro­grammes to be ap­proved by the ACTT. This achieve­ment is a tes­ta­ment to the firm's com­mit­ment to of­fer­ing a unique ex­pe­ri­ence to per­sons wish­ing to pur­sue a ca­reer in Safe­ty. This com­mit­ment has al­so led to the de­vel­op­ment of SRG's sub­sidiary com­pa­ny and the de­liv­er­ing body for its ed­u­ca­tion­al pro­grammes, the SHEQ In­sti­tute (SHEQ). SHEQ will be staffed with fa­cil­i­ta­tors ex­pe­ri­enced in Me­chan­i­cal, Chem­i­cal/Process and Elec­tri­cal/In­stru­men­ta­tion En­gi­neer­ing, In­dus­tri­al Safe­ty and Qual­i­ty Man­age­ment.

SHEQ will of­fer ter­tiary lev­el pro­grammes that com­bine sound the­o­ret­i­cal knowl­edge with prac­ti­cal, hands on in­dus­tri­al ex­po­sure to en­sure that our grad­u­ates move seam­less­ly from the class­room to the plant site.

SRG holds cen­tre ap­proval from the Na­tion­al Train­ing Agency (NTA) while both SRG and SHEQ are reg­is­tered with the Ac­cred­i­ta­tion Coun­cil of Trinidad and To­ba­go (ACTT) as a Post Sec­ondary and Ter­tiary In­sti­tu­tions.
