Overall market activity resulted from trading in eight securities of which four advanced, none declined and four traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 2,029,857 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,558,457.59.Capital and Credit Financial Group was the volume leader with 1,545,624 shares changing hands for a value of $310,124.80, followed by National Commercial Bank Jamaica with a volume of 400,000 shares being traded for $660,000.
Angostura Holdings Ltd contributed 65,300 shares with a value of $473,420, while Republic Bank Ltd added 9,240 shares valued at $768,772.99. Republic Bank Ltd enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $3.25 or four per cent, to end the day at $85. Recording the highest percentage gain in yesterday's trade was Angostura Holdings Ltd, which jumped by 8.85 per cent to close at $7.25 per cent.
National Commercial Bank Jamaica added $0.04 to end at $1.65, while Scotiabank rounded off the quartet of higher prices by adding $0.03 to close the day's trading at $40.31.
The mutual fund market did not record any activity. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.11.
Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.20. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $62.51. The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company remained at $1. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $15.52.
