Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 1,074,021 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $3,481,307.33. The Composite Index advanced by 0.78 points, or by 0.08 per cent, to close at 990.59, while the All T&T Index declined by 0.64 points, or by 0.04 per cent, to close at 1,451.11. National Commercial Bank Jamaica was the volume leader with 730,650 shares changing hands for a value of $1,501,464.50, followed by GraceKennedy Ltd with a volume of 272,283 shares being traded for $1,088,972.
National Enterprises Ltd contributed 24,558 shares with a value of $380,649, while Capital and Credit Financial Group added 18,156 shares valued at $5,809.92. National Commercial Bank Jamaica enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.05 to end the day at $2.05. Conversely, The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.20 to close at $58.80. The mutual fund and second tier markets did not record any activity.
