The Com­pos­ite In­dex ad­vanced by 0.78 points, or by 0.08 per cent, to close at 990.59, while the All T&T In­dex de­clined by 0.64 points, or by 0.04 per cent, to close at 1,451.11. Na­tion­al Com­mer­cial Bank Ja­maica was the vol­ume leader with 730,650 shares chang­ing hands for a val­ue of $1,501,464.50, fol­lowed by GraceKennedy Ltd with a vol­ume of 272,283 shares be­ing trad­ed for $1,088,972.

Na­tion­al En­ter­pris­es Ltd con­tributed 24,558 shares with a val­ue of $380,649, while Cap­i­tal and Cred­it Fi­nan­cial Group added 18,156 shares val­ued at $5,809.92. Na­tion­al Com­mer­cial Bank Ja­maica en­joyed the day's largest gain, in­creas­ing $0.05 to end the day at $2.05. Con­verse­ly, The West In­di­an To­bac­co Com­pa­ny Ltd suf­fered the day's great­est loss, falling $0.20 to close at $58.80. The mu­tu­al fund and sec­ond tier mar­kets did not record any ac­tiv­i­ty.
