Overall market activity resulted from trading in 13 securities of which seven advanced, three declined and three traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 220,227 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $7,267,685.05. The Composite Index advanced by 2.64 points, or by 0.26 per cent, to close at 1,009.91 while the All T&T Index advanced by 5.51 points, or 0.38 per cent, to close at 1,459.36. The Cross Listed Index remained at 70.16. Agostini's Ltd was the volume leader with 31,300 shares changing hands for a value of $428,810, followed by National Flour Mills with a volume of 31,000 shares being traded for $21,700.
ANSA McAL contributed 25,000 shares with a value of $1,400,000, while GraceKennedy Ltd added 23,460 shares valued at $101,008.20. Scotiabank T&T enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $1.00 to end the day at $52. Also jumping yesterday were ANSA McAL, which increased by $0.40 to close at $56 and The West Indian Tobacco Company, which rose by $0.20 to end the day's trading at $61.95. Conversely, Republic Bank Ltd suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.13 to close at $96.30.
The mutual fund market did not record any activity. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.11. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.50. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $62.25. The second tier market did not witness any activity. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $15.65.
