Overall market activity resulted from trading in eight securities of which two advanced, two declined and four traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 86,957 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $897,716.80. The Composite Index advanced by 0.49 points, 0.05 per cent, to close at 1,010.47 while the All T&T Index advanced by 1.96 points, 0.13 per cent, to close at 1,461.39. The Cross Listed Index declined by 0.10 points (0.14%) to close at 70.07.

One Caribbean Media Ltd was the volume leader with 32,474 shares changing hands for a value of $389,688, followed by First Caribbean International Bank Ltd with a volume of 20,930 shares being traded for $190,463. Grace Kennedy Ltd contributed 12,938 shares with a value of $54,986.50, while National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd added 10,000 shares valued at $21,855. Republic Bank Ltd enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.30 to end the day at $96.30. Conversely, Grace Kennedy L d suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.05 to close at $4.25.
