NFM goes up by 7.7%

Overall market activity resulted from trading in six securities of which three advanced, one declined and two traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 40,941 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $744,040.12. The Composite Index declined by 0.06 points, or 0.01 per cent, to close at 1,014.51, while the All T&T Index declined by 0.13 points, by 0.01 per cent, to close at 1,469.55. The Cross Listed Index remained at 70.10.

 

National Enterprises Ltd was the volume leader with 16,174 shares changing hands for a value of $241,796.52, followed by National Flour Mills with a volume of 11,000 shares being traded for $7,700. Scotiabank T&T contributed 7,110 shares with a value of $369,720.00, while Sagicor Financial Corporation  added 5,546 shares valued at $44,922.60. National Flour Mills enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.05 to end the day at $0.70.

 

Conversely, Scotiabank T&T suffered the day’s sole decline, falling $0.11 to end the day at $52. The mutual fund market did not record any activity. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.11. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.29. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $61.49. The second tier market did not witness any activity. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $15.65.
