The Composite Index advanced by 2.02 points, or by 0.20 per cent, to close at 1,014.66, while the All T&T Index advanced by 4.04 points, or by 0.27 per cent, to close at 1,508.56. The Cross Listed Index advanced by 0.02 points, or 0.03 per cent, to close at 65.91.
Neal & Massy Holdings was the volume leader with 12,668 shares changing hands for a value of $586,525.70, followed by Scotiabank T&T with a volume of 9,280 shares being traded for $528,960. ANSA McAL contributed 7,000 shares with a value of $407,890, while FirstCaribbean International Bank added 6,574 shares valued at $55,879.
The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.36 to end the day at $69. Scotiabank advanced by $0.30 to close on $57, while ANSA McAL added $0.23 to end trading at $58.27. Guardian Holdings closed $0.21 to end at $15.50.
Conversely, Capital and Credit Financial Group suffered the day's sole decline, falling $0.01 to end the day at $0.30. The mutual fund market did not record any activity. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.11. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.34. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $61.49.
The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company Ltd (suspended) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings Ltd remained at $15.65.
