Over­all Mar­ket ac­tiv­i­ty re­sult­ed from trad­ing in nine se­cu­ri­ties of which three ad­vanced, two de­clined and four trad­ed firm. Trad­ing ac­tiv­i­ty on the first tier mar­ket reg­is­tered a vol­ume of 315,087 shares cross­ing the floor of the Ex­change val­ued at $2,427,507.18.

The Com­pos­ite In­dex ad­vanced by 2.07 points, or by 0.20 per cent, to close at 1,027.06, while the All T&T In­dex ad­vanced by 4.61 points, or by 0.30 per cent, to close at 1,537.58. The Cross List­ed In­dex de­clined by 0.04 points, or 0.06 per cent, to close at 65.51.

Sagi­cor Fi­nan­cial Cor­po­ra­tion was the vol­ume leader with 124,621 shares chang­ing hands for a val­ue of $903,502.25, fol­lowed by Trinidad Ce­ment Ltd with a vol­ume of 89,529 shares be­ing trad­ed for $134,276.84. Ja­maica Mon­ey Mar­ket Bro­kers con­tributed 54,569 shares with a val­ue of $45,837.96, while First­Caribbean In­ter­na­tion­al Bank added 27,425 shares val­ued at $233,112.50.

Re­pub­lic Bank Ltd en­joyed the day's largest gain, in­creas­ing $1.34 to end the day at $97.11. Con­verse­ly, Sagi­cor Fi­nan­cial Cor­po­ra­tion suf­fered the day's great­est loss, falling $0.15 to close at $7.25. The mu­tu­al fund and sec­ond tier mar­kets did not record any ac­tiv­i­ty.
