Scotiabank goes up by $0.48

Overall market activity resulted from trading in ten securities of which three advanced, three declined and four traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 244,237 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,222,604.29. The Composite Index advanced by 1.51 points, or by 0.15 per cent, to close at 1,028.57, while the All T&T Index advanced by 1.41 points, or by 0.09 per cent, to close at 1,538.99 and the Cross Listed Index advanced by 0.19 points, or 0.29 per cent, to close at 65.70. 
 
 
Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd was the volume leader with 105,000 shares changing hands for a value of $88,200, followed by Sagicor Financial Corporation with a volume of 56,123 shares being traded for $420,922.50. Prestige Holdings Ltd contributed 44,366 shares with a value of $354,928, while First Caribbean International Bank Ltd added 15,126 shares valued at $128,571. Scotiabank Trinidad & Tobago Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.48 to end the day at $60.59. Conversely, Republic Bank Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.10 to close at $97.01. The mutual fund market did not record any activity. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.00. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.35. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $61.49. The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company Ltd (suspended) remained at $1 Mora Ven Holdings remained at $15.65.
