GraceKennedy goes up by $0.25

Overall Market activity resulted from trading in 11 securities of which six advanced, three declined and two traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 103,874 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $1,308,700.50.

 

The Composite Index advanced by 1.47 points or 0.14 per cent to close at 1,030.04.  The All T&T Index advanced by 1.35 points or 0.09 per cent to close at 1,540.34.  The Cross Listed Index advanced by 0.20 points  or 0.30 per cent to close at 65.90. GraceKennedy Ltd was the volume leader with 63,188 shares changing hands for a value of $315,940.00, followed by Scota Investments Jamaica Ltd with a volume of 21,200 shares being traded for $46,030.00.

 

ANSA McAL Ltd contributed 10,000 shares with a value of $588,500.00, while Scotiabank Trinidad and Tobago Ltd added 3,394 shares valued at $206,233.38. GraceKennedy Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.25 to end the day at $5.00. Conversely, Scota Investments Jamaica Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.03 to close at $2.17. The mutual fund and second tier markets did not record any activity.
