Angostura loses $0.11
Overall market activity resulted from trading in nine securities of which three advanced, three declined and three traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 382,101 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $817,710.27. National Commercial Bank Jamaica was the volume leader with 354,800 shares changing hands for a value of $567,680, followed by Scotia Investments Jamaica with a volume of 12,090 shares being traded for $25,389. One Caribbean Media contributed 11,600 shares with a value of $159,500, while Angostura Holdings Ltd added 1,460 shares valued at $12,252.83.
One Caribbean Media enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.10 to end the day at $13.75. Conversely, Angostura Holdings Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.11 to close at $8.39. The mutual fund market did not record any activity. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.00. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.39. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $61.49. The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company (SUSPENDED) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $15.65.
