ANSA McAL jumps up by $0.79

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 14 securities of which five advanced, four declined and five traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 208,540 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,315,340.77.

 

The Composite Index advanced by 2.08 points, or by 0.20 per cent, to close at 1,025.38, while the All T&T Index advanced by 4.66 points, or 0.30 per cent, to close at 1,546.05. The Cross Listed Index, meanwhile, declined by 0.05 points, 0.08 or per cent, to close at 64.14. National Commercial Bank Jamaica was the volume leader with 123,992 shares changing hands for a value of $198,387.20

 

National Enterprises Ltd followed with a volume of 35,941 shares being traded for $467,193.00. Trinidad Cement Ltd  contributed 19,700 shares with a value of $29,550.00, while Scotiabank T&T added 7,393 shares valued at $451,046.93. ANSA McAL enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.79 to end the day at $60.00.

 

Unilever added $0.25 to close on $38.50, while National Enterprises Ltd ended trading up by $0.15 on $13. Conversely, ANSA Merchant Bank Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.25 to close at $35.55. The mutual fund and second tier markets did not record any activity.
