The Cross List­ed In­dex ad­vanced by 0.35 points, or 0.55 per cent, to close at 64.51. Guardian Hold­ings Ltd was the vol­ume leader with 183,415 shares chang­ing hands for a val­ue of $3,030,522.50, fol­lowed by Na­tion­al Com­mer­cial Bank Ja­maica with a vol­ume of 77,970 shares be­ing trad­ed for $136,447.50. Sco­tia In­vest­ments Ja­maica Ltd con­tributed 56,147 shares with a val­ue of $134,752.80, while Sagi­cor Fi­nan­cial Cor­po­ra­tion added 55,308 shares val­ued at $401,038.50. The West In­di­an To­bac­co Com­pa­ny en­joyed the day's largest gain, in­creas­ing $0.51 to end the day at $72.30.

Sco­tia In­vest­ments Ja­maica Ltd jumped by $0.020 to close at $2.40. Con­verse­ly, Na­tion­al Flour Mills suf­fered the day's great­est loss, falling $0.01 to close at $0.70. Nei­ther the mu­tu­al fund mar­ket nor the sec­ond tier mar­ket wit­nessed any ac­tiv­i­ty.
