The Composite Index advanced by 2.08 points, or by 0.20 per cent, to close at 1,047.83, while the All T&T Index advanced by 1.23 points, or by 0.08 per cent, to close at 1,588.79. The Cross Listed Index advanced by 0.35 points, or 0.55 per cent, to close at 64.51. Guardian Holdings Ltd was the volume leader with 183,415 shares changing hands for a value of $3,030,522.50, followed by National Commercial Bank Jamaica with a volume of 77,970 shares being traded for $136,447.50. Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd contributed 56,147 shares with a value of $134,752.80, while Sagicor Financial Corporation added 55,308 shares valued at $401,038.50. The West Indian Tobacco Company enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.51 to end the day at $72.30.
Scotia Investments Jamaica Ltd jumped by $0.020 to close at $2.40. Conversely, National Flour Mills suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.01 to close at $0.70. Neither the mutual fund market nor the second tier market witnessed any activity.
