Unilever jumps $1.40 to end at $40.51

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 14 securities of which six advanced, two declined and six traded firm. Trinidad Cement Ltd was the volume leader with 120,765 shares changing hands for a value of $224,193.20, followed by Guardian Holdings Ltd with a volume of 88,950 shares being traded for $1,560,015.25. Scotiabank T&T contributed 45,000 shares with a value of $2,794,500.00, while Unilever Caribbean Ltd added 25,534 shares valued at $1,034,467.77.

 

Unilever Caribbean Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $1.40 to end the day at $40.51. Enjoying the day’s second largest gain yesterday was Guardian Holdings Ltd, which jumped by $0.64 to close at $17.54. Neal & Massy advanced by $0.59 to close at $46. Conversely, Savinvest India Asia Fund suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $2.49 to close at $59.00.

 

Savinvest India Asia Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 123 shares valued at $7,257. Savinvest India Asia Fund declined by $2.49 to end at $59. The second tier market did not witness any activity.
