Unilever adds $0.44

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 13 securities of which six advanced, one declined and six traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier Market registered a volume of 534,076 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $7,069,832.45. The Composite Index advanced by 1.90 points, or by 0.18 per cent, to close at 1,052.24, while the All T&T Index advanced by 4.74 points, or by 0.30 per cent, to close at 1,600.09. The Cross Listed Index declined by 0.10 points, or by 0.16 per cent, to close at 64.25. Agostini Ltd was the volume leader with 230,000 shares changing hands for a value of $3,450,000.00, followed by National Flour Mills with a volume of 104,778 shares being traded for $73,344.60. Guardian Holdings Ltd contributed 80,212 shares with a value of $1,440,706.00, while National Enterprises Ltd added 26,915 shares valued at $372,772.75.
Unilever Caribbean Ltd enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.44 to end the day at $40.95. Following closely behind was Guardian Holdings which jumped by $0.42 and Republic Bank, which also jumped by $0.42.
Conversely, GraceKennedy Ltdf suffered the day’s sole decline, falling $0.24 to end the day at $4.49. The mutual fund market did not record any activity. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.00. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.80. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $59.00. The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company (Suspended) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $15.65.
