NEW YORK - A key government witness in the New York insider trading trial of a San Francisco hedge fund owner has ended her testimony after saying her life was destroyed by her crimes. Roomy Khan finished testimony Thursday that spanned four days in federal court. Khan told a jury hearing evidence against Doug Whitman that she regrets sharing inside information for several years before she began cooperating with the government five years ago. She said her "life has been destroyed" through damage to her reputation and money lost. Khan is cooperating with the government for a second time. She pleaded guilty to wire fraud charges in a cooperation deal in 2001. In the latest deal, she admitted to insider trading in what became part of the biggest insider case in history. (AP)
