WITCO adds $0.15

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 14 securities of which seven advanced, two declined and five traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 195,763 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $3,933,686.20. The Composite Index declined by 0.30 points, or by 0.03 per cent, to close at 1,069.96, while the All T&T Index advanced by 0.85 points, or 0.05 per cent, to close at 1,639.46. The Cross Listed Index declined by 0.17 points, or 0.27 per cent, to close at 63.89. The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.15 to end the day at $73.66. Conversely, Jamaica Money Market Brokers suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.04 to close at $0.70. Neither the mutual fund market nor the second tier market recorded any activity.
