Unilever gains $0.25

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 11 securities, of which seven advanced, one declined and three traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 34,217 shares crossing the floor of the stock exchange valued at $1,861,607.05. Guardian Holdings Ltd was the volume leader with 12,783 shares changing hands for a value of $254,318.20, followed by Republic Bank Ltd with a volume of 11,700 shares being traded for $1,220,340.00. Neal and Massy Holdings Ltd contributed 5,251 shares with a value of $250,885.25, while Unilever Caribbean Ltd added 2,000 shares valued at $84,500.00.
 
Unilever Caribbean Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.25 to end the day at $42.25. Conversely, Jamaica Money Market Brokers Ltd suffered the day’s sole decline, falling $0.03 to end the day at $0.65. Savinvest India Asia Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 5,000 shares valued at $290,000.00. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $58.00. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.00. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.80. The Second Tier Market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company Ltd (suspended) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings Ltd remained at $15.65.
