Witco shares gain $0.05

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 17 securities, of which eight advanced, three declined and six traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 460,513 shares crossing the floor of the stock exchange valued at $12,351,165.73. Trinidad Cement Ltd was the volume leader with 105,870 shares changing hands for a value of $206,446.50, followed by National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd with a volume of 86,000 shares being traded for $137,600.00. Neal and Massy Holdings Ltd contributed 53,247 shares with a value of $2,555,877.23, while ANSA McAL Ltd added 50,000 shares valued at $3,202,468.56.
 
 
 
The West Indian Tobacco Company Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.05 to end the day at $74.30. Conversely, National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.15 to close at $1.60. The Mutual Fund Market did not record any activity. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.00. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.80. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $58.00. The Second Tier Market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Co Ltd (Suspended) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings Ltd remained at $15.65.
