GraceKennedy increases $0.23

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 17 securities of which four advanced, four declined and nine traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 242,567 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $4,817,881.08.

The Composite Index declined by 0.19 points, or by 0.02 per cent, to close at 1,067.20. The All T&T Index declined by 1.98 points, or 0.12 per cent, to close at 1,656.42. The Cross Listed Index advanced by 0.18 points, 0.29 per cent, to close at 61.27. Jamaica Money Market Brokers was the volume leader with 95,000 shares changing hands for a value of $58,900, followed by Guardian Holdings Ltd with a volume of 51,650 shares being traded for $973,602.50.

Scotiabank T&T contributed 38,483 shares with a value of $2,428,166.98, while National Commercial Bank Jamaica added 17,116 shares valued at $27,385.60. GraceKennedy Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.23 to end the day at $3.99. Conversely, Readymix (West Indies) Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $4.00 to close at $22.65.
