AmCham members set for HSSE conference

The 16th Annual Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) Conference and Exhibition of the American Chamber of Commerce of T&T (AmChamTT) is the first major event in which representatives of companies that have been granted membership will take part.

Scheduled to take place on September 26-27, the event provides a forum for exchange of information, creating awareness of the importance of best practices in the work environment as well as elsewhere. It also identifies practical applications of HSSE excellence as a tool to achieve sustainable development, said AmChamTT president Hugh Howard.

All Sport Promotions Ltd, Alleyne’s Furniture, Appliances and Electronics Ltd, DESK Restaurants Ltd, Intercontinental Shipping Ltd, Lennox Petroleum Services Ltd, Sacha Cosmetics Ltd, Sesko Trinidad Ltd, Special Elite Investigation Services Ltd form part of the new membership.

The others are: Bertram Hadaway and Company, Borrisserv Security Services and GSAL Designs Ltd. They were formally received at an AmChamTT membership welcome ceremony held at the BP Hospitality Suite at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port-of-Spain on September 13. Howard urged company representatives to participate in the work of one or more of seven committees as they provide another avenue for exposure to critical business information and to the corridors of influence.
