Republic bank ends at $104.78

Overall market activity resulted from trading in eight securities of which five advanced, two declined and one traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 93,893 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,179,578.30.

 

The Composite Index advanced by 0.99 points, or by 0.09 per cent, to close at 1,068.19, while the All T&T Index advanced by 0.94 points, or by 0.06 per cent, to close at 1,657.36. The Cross Listed Index advanced by 0.13 points (0.21%) to close at 61.40.

 

One Caribbean Media was the volume leader with 42,546 shares changing hands for a value of $679,478.08, followed by Jamaica Money Market Brokers with a volume of 32,750 shares being traded for $21,287.50. Republic Bank Ltd contributed 9,271 shares with a value of $971,386.46, while Neal & Massy Holdings added 4,726 shares valued at $226,895.26.

 

Republic Bank Ltd enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.21 to end the day at $104.78. Conversely, One Caribbean Media suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.02 to close at $15.97. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 1,713 shares valued at $6,509.40. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.80. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.00. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $58.00.

 

The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company (SUSPENDED) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $15.65.
