ANSA McAL gains $0.93

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 11 securities of which three advanced, four declined and four traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 195,707 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,926,343.79. The Composite Index advanced by 0.89 points, or by 0.08 per cent, to close at 1,070.97, while the All T&T Index advanced by 3.43 points,or by 0.21 per cent, to close at 1,670.34.
The Cross Listed Index declined by 0.19 points, or 0.31 per cent, to close at 60.55. Guardian Holdings Ltd was the volume leader with 82,435 shares changing hands for a value of $1,490,496.00, followed by Jamaica Money Market Brokers with a volume of 27,128 shares being traded for $16,680.64. GraceKennedy Ltd contributed 24,000 shares with a value of $92,400.00, while Scotia Investments Jamaica added 22,708 shares valued at $54,045.04.
ANSA McAL Ltd enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.93 to end the day at $65.00. Also climbing yesterday was Republic Bank which added $0.21 to end trading at $106.02. Conversely, Guardian Holdings Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.22 to close at $18.08. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 9,436 shares valued at $35,856.80.
Praetorian Property Mutual Fund remained at $3.80. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.00. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $57.95. The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company (SUSPENDED) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $15.65.
