Republic Bank gains $0.27

Overall market activity resulted from trading in eight securities of which three advanced, four declined and one traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 198,262 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,233,401.26. The Composite Index declined by 0.46 points, or by 0.04 per cent, to close at 1,070.51, while the All T&T Index advanced by 0.64 points, or 0.04 per cent to close at 1,670.98.

 

The Cross Listed Index declined by 0.18 points, or 0.30 per cent, to close at 60.37. GraceKennedy Ltd was the volume leader with 67,768 shares changing hands for a value of $254,387.77, followed by Guardian Holdings Ltd with a volume of 66,353 shares being traded for $1,194,354.00. Sagicor Financial Corporation contributed 36,090 shares with a value of $268,160.00, while Jamaica Money Market Brokers added 20,800 shares valued at $12,480.00.

 

Republic Bank Ltd enjoyed the day's largest gain, increasing $0.27 to end the day at $106.29. Conversely, GraceKennedy Ltd suffered the day's greatest loss, falling $0.10 to close at $3.75. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund was the only active security on the mutual fund market, posting a volume of 5,000 shares valued at $20,000.00.

 

 

Praetorian Property Mutual Fund advanced by $0.20 to end at $4.00. Fortress Caribbean Property Fund remained at $5.00. Savinvest India Asia Fund remained at $57.95. The second tier market did not witness any activity. FNCU Venture Capital Company (SUSPENDED) remained at $1.00. Mora Ven Holdings remained at $15.65.
