RBL climbs past $108 mark

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 15 securities of which five advanced, four declined and six traded firm. Trading activity on the first tier market registered a volume of 475,924 shares crossing the floor of the Exchange valued at $2,192,945.75.

 

Jamaica Money Market Brokers was the volume leader with 187,959 shares changing hands for a value of $102,736.27, followed by National Commercial Bank Jamaica with a volume of 100,000 shares being traded for $162,000. Agostini’s Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.88 to end the day at $16.25. Republic Bank Ltd jumped by $0.70 to breach the $108 mark as it closed at $108.07. Guardian Holdings also advanced, moving ahead by $0.37 to close at $18.37.

 

Conversely, One Caribbean Media suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.10 to close at $15.75. Praetorian Property Mutual Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 5,000 shares valued at $21,000 and advancing by $0.10 to end at $4.20. The second tier market did not witness any activity.
