Republic Bank goes up $0.78

Overall market activity resulted from trading in 13 securities, of which four advanced, two declined and seven traded firm. Trading activity on the First Tier Market registered a volume of 86,841 shares crossing the floor of the stock exchange valued at $2,005,253.30. Sagicor Financial Corporation was the volume leader with 28,200 shares changing hands for a value of $208,680, followed by Neal and Massy Holdings Ltd with a volume of 26,666 shares being traded for $1,286,634.50.
 
National Commercial Bank Jamaica Ltd contributed 10,031 shares with a value of $16,333.64. Republic Bank Ltd enjoyed the day’s largest gain, increasing $0.78 to end the day at $109.08. Conversely, Scotiabank T&T Ltd suffered the day’s greatest loss, falling $0.47 to close at $63.
 
Savinvest India Asia Fund was the only active security on the Mutual Fund Market, posting a volume of 14,441 shares valued at $836,855.95. The Second Tier Market did not witness any activity.
