Over­all mar­ket ac­tiv­i­ty re­sult­ed from trad­ing in 11 se­cu­ri­ties of which six ad­vanced, one de­clined and four trad­ed firm. Trad­ing ac­tiv­i­ty on the first tier Mar­ket reg­is­tered a vol­ume of 401,022 shares cross­ing the floor of the Ex­change val­ued at $5,840,787.93.

Na­tion­al Com­mer­cial Bank Ja­maica was the vol­ume leader with 191,049 shares chang­ing hands for a val­ue of $311,399.87, fol­lowed by Trinidad Ce­ment Ltd with a vol­ume of 70,000 shares be­ing trad­ed for $125,126.25. Re­pub­lic Bank Ltd con­tributed 41,133 shares with a val­ue of $4,503,507.64.

Re­pub­lic Bank Ltd en­joyed the day's largest gain, in­creas­ing $0.41 to end the day at $109.49. GraceKennedy al­so climbed, adding $0.18 to close at $3.78. Con­verse­ly, Trinidad Ce­ment Ltd suf­fered the day's sole de­cline, falling $0.06 to end the day at $1.79. The mu­tu­al fund and sec­ond tier mar­kets did not record any ac­tiv­i­ty.
